Hi KD5LWU here....it has been extremely quiet on the board lately so would really like to hear from some of you folks and how your Yaesu's are doing......
A few months ago I dropped my FT-60R and cracked the circuit board so bad it was not repairable (darn thing just jumped out of my hand HI HI) so I bought a new one from HRO Denver and had it the next day via UPS these people give great service. I now also have a FT-817 that I bought for 300.00 (what a deal) and a IC-706 (not Yaesu but what can I say? I got it free!) that I am using on 20M SSB and PSK31 at the shop (yes I am one of the lucky who get to ham it up at work) I just built a FSATV unit that runs on 70CM and is portable so I can take it out in the field so having lots of fun with that.
