VX-7R cannot reset! and MON/F transmits!

A few days ago things went mad with the radio

The main symptom is:
If I push the MON/F button, the radio transmits and sends a tone (when
inside a ham band 1750kHz constant i think)

I cannot push the MON/F button and then the SET button anymore, to access
the menu setups.

I have tried the resets in the manual and they do not reset anything
anymore.
I tried a special reset (keys B C D) and that does not reset it either.
Sometimes the resets put the radio into a clone mode... but that is all.

I do not know how to get the radio MON/F button out of the strange mode
where it transmits and sends a tone whenever it is pushed (in band) and
also be able to use it to enter the setup mode anymore.

Please help

Problem solved! The MON/F button was swapped with the mon button (just below the PTT button)
Strange thing to be able to set.... but it got set in that mode!
