I bought a 2ND 2980R and made a "clone cable" to transfer data from one radio to the other.
The RJ12/6 plugs were bought and two wires were used on pins 4 & 6 were used. Following the instructions in the manual, several attempts were made to transfer the data with "error" showing after 30 seconds each time.
The pin outs were checked by me and another and are correct from plug to plug. The plug pin-out was verified by several photos and drawings.
I have no idea as to why the cloning data transfer did not work?
