Hello:
I got a new FTM-400XDR over the weekend. I found that when receiving from America's link via a Zumspot the radio would beep for each signal received. After searching the web and manual, I found nothing. I did find the standby beep which is the oppoisite and beeps at the end of a received signal. It tuens out to happen only when in AMS mode. IF I change the mode to DN (without the bar on to of the DN) the beeping stops. So, it seems, I want to use AMS, I have to put up with the beeping.
Can anyone confirm or tell me how to stop the beeping in AMS mode.
