Hi everyone
I am looking for some advice on an FT 102 Transceiver I am considering purchasing.
It is a set-up that includes the Transceiver, VFO, Speaker and Antenna tuner which are all Yaesu matched components to the radio. The radio is untouched with no modifications, It has set unused for 10 years but fired right up and worked without a problem.
I found this set up when a fellow I work with learned I was into Ham radio and told me his father had a shack that he no longer used and was looking to sell the equipment. After looking over the equipment for sale I purchased his fold over Rohn 40 foot tower with rotor and Hustler 4 element beam antenna and all cable for a good price.
In the shack he has the complete FT 102 set up along with a complete 747GX set up, talking to him about the FT 102 set up he priced it all for $750 US
I have heard so much about the FT 102 being considered possibly one of Yaesu's best radios I was thinking of picking it up .
My question is do you think that $750 is a fair price for this set up? I think it is a little high but is in very good shape and dose include all the matching components? Any Opinions would be appreciated.
Thanks Bob Smith KD8ZIF
